dog walking (scroll down for more services)
WE LOVE WALKING DOGS. All dogs are walked in a group of as few as 2 and as many as 6. We walk for 20-30 minutes depending on the elements. The goals are simple: socialize, exercise and go to the bathroom. We walk with purpose and with a smile. It is important all pups have safe and reliable equipment (harnesses, martingale collars, prong collars for example) and prefer to use 4 foot nylon leashes and can provide one if needed. Covid has changed this part of our business. We are highly selective of the pups we walk. Please see the geographic/neighborhood limitations we currently have in place.
boarding and daycare
We live just over the Sousa bridge in Anacostia (on the way up the Hill towards Hillcrest). The first level of our home is basically Dog Town! Roughly 1000sq feet of indoor play space! We have old Ikea sofas, a big screen tv, shared toys, shared cots and beds. We have crates for pups who prefer a den but don’t crate as a rule. Outside, there is a fenced in 2500sq foot yard for long afternoons playing fetch, lounging in the sun, in a hammock or just romping with pals. If interested in visiting, give us a shout…we insist on a visit before booking. Preference on availability is given to current clients. We book up weeks in advance for the major holidays so please plan accordingly. Daycare is offered only to pups on Cap Hill as we provide pick up and drop off. They day is roughly 8:30/9:30a-5:30/6:30p. Weekdays only (unless pre-arranged) and limited availability. We currently have a waitlist.
cat sitting
Cat visits last about 20 minutes and include all the basics like feeding, watering and scooping the box. That frees up the rest of the time for loving all over, playing with or taking pictures of your cat to send to you. Happy to help out with things like mail, small packages and light plant care, yard watering. I have experience with cats who require special attention - subcutaneous fluids, pills, injections.
