walking policies  (please read Waiver at bottom)

dogs  all dogs must:

  • be proven to be non-aggressive and ready to walk in a group (does not apply to puppies under 6 months)

  • be current on their required vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Distemper) and under the care of a licensed vet in the area

  • licensed in DC through the DC Department of Health

  • submit a completed intake form and liability waiver

  • wearing an id on their collar with a current phone number

  • be on a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative

schedules  weekday mid-day walks take place between the hours of 11A and 3:30p 

  • to add or cancel a walk, please contact us before 11A via text, phone or email

  • there is no penalty for timely cancellations or same day additions (before 11a)

  • there is a $10 fee for cancellations after 11a

  • emails are sent in a timely manner concerning Federal Holidays, inclement weather and subs

routes our current area of walk service (see map tab) 

  • Penn Ave SE to the South, 11th Street SE to the West, Independence Ave SE to the North and 19th Street SE to the East

  • Penn Ave SE to the North and K Street SE to the South, 11th SE to the West and 17th SE to the East

  • Lincoln Park (roughly 9th - 14th NE/SE)

  • Car Barn (roughly 14/15th Streets NE, East Capitol Street NE and A Street NE)

  • cat sitting services are available all over Capitol Hill

billing. payment.   

  • invoices for mid-day dog walk clients are sent via email by the 3rd day of the next month of service

  • payment is expected in a timely manner ( within 10 days)

  • service will be discontinued if payment for the prior month is not received by the last day of the month in which the invoice was sent

  • payment preferred through the on-line option in the invoice but checks are accepted as well

  • equipment

  • NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES

  • 4 foot nylon leashes preferred (we will provide if needed)

  • harnesses, martingale collars preferred and will be suggested if it seems dog would benefit from this equipment when walking in a group

coverage  

  • all effort will be made to provide coverage for mid-day walks when your daily walker is off

  • notification of coverage walker will be provided in a timely manner

boarding and daycare policies (please read waiver at bottom)

dogs  

  • spayed or neutered

  • securely house trained

  • be proven to be non-aggressive and able to play well in a group

  • attended a scheduled meet and greet and/or attended a trial day or daycare prior to boarding

  • submit completed intake form and liability waiver

  • be current on their required vaccinations (Rabies, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Distemper) and under the care of a licensed vet in the area

  • licensed in DC through the DC Department of Health (http://dchealth.force.com/animalservices/s/)

  • wearing an id on their collar with a current phone number

  • be on a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative

  • for dogs with in our daycare pick up and drop off area, timing: we pick up dogs weekdays between 8:30-9:30a and drop off dogs between 5:30-6:30p, client drop offs should be between 8:00-8:30a, 9:30-12p and pick ups before 5:30p. All timing should be communicated in advance for boarding

  • we do not provide any transport on the weekends

  • we enforce a strict “no excessive barking” policy. Owners may provide their own devices to help prevent this behavior but we do not use or provide our own bark deterrent products such as citronella or vibrating collars.

  • we will charge a $10 same day cancellation fee daycare

  • we will charge a one day rate fee for boarding cancellations made within 24 hours of the booked boarding start date

cat sitting (other small mammals too) policies 

cats 

  • cats must be current on their vaccinations and be in the care of a licensed vet in area

  • for cats requiring medication (sub q fluids, pills, insulin etc), an additional small fee may be added

  • one visit per day unless special requests are made

  • full disclosure to Beasties LLC of any health issues cat may have in advance of service

  • full disclosure to Beasties LLC of any other non-Beasties care providers, neighbors, cleaners, family that may be visiting the home during the service

  • we do not provide housekeeping services outside of normal litter sweeping and food/dish clean up

  • we will help with basic security (lights, mail, alarms) and simple house plant watering

 Beasties LLC Agreement and Waiver, all clients with pets placed in the care of Beasties LLC, are agreeing to the following:

1. I agree that in admitting my dog(s) to Beasties LLC at 2300 Q Street SE Washington, DC 20020, Beasties has relied on my representation that my dog(s) are in good health, under the care of a licensed Veterinarian and has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior toward any person or other dog.

2. Beasties LLC makes every reasonable effort to protect dogs in their care: dog walking, dog boarding and dog daycare. However, there is risk in all activities and in the event of a problem I understand and agree that Beasties LLC and their staff will not be liable and I hereby release them of any liability of any kind arising from my dog(s) attendance and participation at the facility, or on transport to or from the facility on the owner’s behalf. I thoroughly understand and accept these risks.

3. I understand and agree that any problem that develops with my dog(s) will be treated as deemed best by Beasties LLC and staff in their sole discretion, and I will assume all financial responsibility for any and all expenses involved for my dog(s) in the case of injury or illness to person or other dog.

4. I understand that Beasties LLC will and must maintain client confidentiality unless legally obligated to provide information, unless an owner gives clear permission.

5. I agree to pay my entire bill according to Beasties LLC payment policies.

6. I understand that the nature of my relationship with Beasties LLC is non-contractual and either party may discontinue services at any time and for any reason without notice.
